If you’re already using something else in the formula like, say, benzyl acetate, you could try using cis-3-hexenyl acetate and benzyl salicylate instead. Not exactly the same, but usually will give a very similar effect.
In other words, if you can find some way to include both the cis-3-hexenyl part and the salicylate part, even if they are not part of the same compound. (You could of course also perhaps use cis-3-hexenol, but it will be very much sharper, not mellow)

I agree with pkiler however; cis-3-hexenyl salicylate is a really nice and useful material. You should probably have it.
