I actually tried some Declaration at Perfume Empire down here yesterday on my skin and am smelling the card as I type this.
Yes, the two are similar, I got that quite quickly, but didn’t feel that Declaration had the same citrus/earthy tones that TdH has. There is definitely more pepper in it – almost the processed ready and finely ground that can be bought from the supermarket, but I think that’s where the similarity ends.
If I’d smelt Declaration first, I may have bought it and then not bought TdH. As they’re both similar, I wouldn’t feel a need for two in my wardrobe.
That said, I find TdH the more masculine scent of the two. Declaration is just as nice but a bit softer. Knowing what I like I’d probably be a Declaration guy, but am just as happy with TdH in my wardrobe.
