Hillwood, the Washington, DC estate and museum of Marjorie Merriweather Post (1887-1973), has launched Cocktails at Eight, a new fragrance for women.
Cocktails at Eight, Hillwood’s exclusive new fragrance created with Molly Ray Parfums, takes inspiration from spring at Hillwood, Marjorie Post’s “social” season at the estate. Named in honor of the hour Post would serve cocktails to guests at her legendary dinner parties, the fresh and floral scent evokes the experience of wandering through the gardens and enjoying an elegant evening with Post. Immerse yourself in the glamour, sophistication, and beauty of spring at Hillwood.
Each ingredient has a connection to Post’s life at Hillwood in spring. Bergamot represents the tea served at her garden parties, the subtle lemon note calls to the sunny, warmer days of spring, and a bouquet of flower scents speak to Post’s love of flowers.
Additional notes include tuberose, carnation, jasmine, peony, ylang ylang, orchid, rose, boisiris (Givaudan orris molecule), labdanum and tobacco.
Hillwood Cocktails at Eight is available at the Hillwood museum shop, in 50 ($175) and 100 ($250) ml Eau de Parfum.
