How can I make my perfumes smell more professional, perfume-like, and designer-like (something you would smell at Macy’s or at the mall)?

Hi everyone, I’m a beginner who has been making countless test blends. My final products do smell good, but they’re just missing something. They more or so fall under the category of “just a nice smell, but not something I or others would enjoy wearing”. Upon contemplating on this issue, I’ve realized that my perfumes just don’t smell like a real perfume. Whenever you spray some Versace Eros, Acqua di Gio, Dior Sauvage, or Nautica Vogage, there is this opening top note of “freshness” or “pop”. It makes you go damn, now this is professional. I myself have seen that maceration for like 3 months can definitely help, but still my perfumes are lacking something. In other words, these perfumes have this cutting edge of professionality that mine seem to miss.

Am a simply missing a top note that tingles your nose, or is this a matter of a bad formula in the first place. Or both? The thing I’m trying to describe is when you spray these perfumes there is this first hit of iciness and freshness that tingles your nose a little bit. I wonder how I could implement this in my perfumes?

Some people told me adding floral materials would help, especially Hydroxcitronellal. If this is the case, could you guys help recommend floral materials and other aromachemicals that would help my blends smell more like something you would smell at the mall?

TL;DR -> My blends smell good, but they’re just not actual perfumes. They smell more like air fresheners or car sprays at the best, or maybe a new scent for shampoo. What can I do to fix this issue?
