Chanel: N°5 and Beige duked it out and N°5 won, largely because of its dependability and its assemblage of auxiliary products. Besides, it’s hard to envision life without N°5.
Guerlain: Eau de Fleurs de Cédrat—it’s the one I can’t walk past without picking it up and spraying some on. If f some of my favourite Guerlains smelled like they used to, like Chant d’Arômes, for instance, things might be different.
Mugler: Angel edt, the one (among those currently in production) I find the most versatile and easy to wear.
Estée Lauder: Youth Dew, which has sentimental value that trumps my equal liking of Azurée.
Serge Lutens: Nuit de Cellophane, seemingly Lutens’ least liked fragrance, but I have a faible for soapy perfumes, even though I think my second choice, Santal Majuscule is the better perfume.
Cartier: II L’Heure Convoitée, because every once in a while I feel nostalgic to smell carnation, especially if it’s topped with strawberry!
Those are the ones that come readily to mind.
