And I smelled something that– literally– stopped me in my tracks…. first I wasn’t sure but then, I approached the lady and said,
‘Madame, forgive me for such brash intrusion, but are you wearing Sotto Voce by Laura Biagiotti?
Because if you are— then behold me, utterly delighted”.
The lady, in turn, almost squeaked,”Yes, oh my God, yes! How did you know? Oh, no one knows much about these perfumes anymore!”

And we chatted about her love of perfumes. She almost hugged me before I left the shop.

My usual reticence and touch-me-not personality may not survive many more such interactions. LOL.
PS: btw, I was pleased as punch to have recognized it well.
But Sophia Grojsman’s perfumes have a distinct mark on them, you can’t miss it.
