Hello, dear fragrance enthusiasts, lovers and freaks, and welcome to the Friday Synch!
This is a thread designated for Synch Fridays in upcoming year 2022. Thank you all for your help and your wonderful ideas so that we could all create our fantastic schedule for 2022 – the year of the Tiger.
2022 Synchronized Fridays
January
01. 07 – Gifts from Three Wise Men. Gold, Myrrh and Incense. (Alternatively – showcase your Christmas gifts!)
01. 14 – Finishing Goals. The bottle that has the least amount of perfume left in it.
01. 21 – Beat the Winter Blues. Wear a summery scent to cheer yourself up.
01. 28 – Sticking to the Resolutions: Type of scent/note you’d like to explore further this year.
February
02. 04 – Chinese New Year / Lunar New Year / Spring Festival.
02. 11 – Picture Day: a picture will be posted – landscape, painting, etc. – and then everyone has to pick a perfume from their wardrobe that best interprets or matches the picture.
02. 18 – Date Night. BONUS if you choose something your loved one loves on you!
02. 25 – Twinkle Twinkle Little Star: Wear a Celebrity Scent.
March
03. 04 – Struggles-B-Gone Day: Usually, I struggle with [____], but it somehow works when I wear [____].
03. 11 – Women’s Rights Day: Female Perfumer of Your Choice.
03. 18 – Spring Equinox! (Autumn Equinox in Southern hemisphere.) Wear a spring (or autumn) scent!
03. 25 – Critics’ Choices: Praised by the Guide
April
04. 01 – Fools’ Day. Let’s go NUTS! Wear a nutty scent.
04. 08 – April is the Funniest Month: Use emojis to name your SOTD, & let others figure out what you’re wearing.
04. 15 – Easter & Rebirth of the Nature. Wear a scent that brings JOY.
04. 22 – Herbal Day.
04. 29 – Wear the most masculine or most feminine scent you own. Cross-dressing is very much allowed!

05. 06 – Grandpa’s House/Garden/Workshop: Wear a scent that reminds you of your Grandpa (or what your imaginary Grandpa would wear)
05. 13 – Mis-Named Day: perfumes you think don’t smell at all like the name would indicate
05. 20 – Fragrance Haikus/Limericks: create a verse for a scent you’re wearing
05. 27 – It’s a Nice Day for a White Wedding.
June
06. 03 – A Cheap Cheap Day. (We spent too much money on wedding presents so we’re wearing inexpensive scents now.)
06. 10 – Contrasts in Perfumes – Fragrances that have contrasting notes in them OR Wear two perfumes over the course of the day and evening that are complete opposites.
06. 17 – “This perfume is me!”— and tell us why!
06. 24 – Summer Solstice! (Winter Solstice in Southern hemisphere.) Wear your best summer (or winter) scents!
July
07. 01 – Let’s Go Places: A fragrance that takes you to a place – whether it’s real or imaginary. Describe the scenery of this location.
07. 08 – It’s Getting Hot In Here: A cooling scent for a hot day. (Or a warming scent for a cool day if you’re having one!)
07. 15 – Synesthesia Day: Wear a scent that smells like a colour or that you can feel a texture of.
07. 22 – Juicy Day: An orange a day keeps sadness away! (A fruit of your choice! Can be a veggie, too, if you dislike fun.)
07. 29 – Christmas in July! Because every day away from last Christmas is one day closer to the next. Right?
August
08. 05 – Hidden Gems’ Day: A little known or rarely mentioned perfume from a very well known and highly respected nose.
08. 12 – Your Favourite Note: Wear a fragrance strongly focused on one material.
08. 19 – Ugly Ducklings, Golden Hearts – Or the beautiful scent that you hide in the back of your collection because the bottle is so ugly.
08. 26 – Avant-Garde Day (Extra Bonus: look at what BN Robot is wearing!)
September
09. 02 – Harvest Day (whatever kind inspires you – fruit, veg, hay, grains – could also be a metaphorical harvest)
09. 09 – I Need Some Drama: Let’s Go To The Theater
09. 16 – Nostalgia Day: Return to your old signature scent / something that reminds you of your teen days
09. 23 – Autumn Equinox (Spring Equinox in Southern hemisphere). Greet the Fall (or Spring) with the most appropriate scent.
09. 30 – The Challenge Challenge—wear your uneasiest reach, and tell us why it’s such a difficult wear.
October
10. 07 – Public’s Choices: Panned by The Guide
This is also a birthday of Jacques Guerlain! If you want to honour him (and I’m sure many will), it could be an idea to synch with Panned by the Guide earlier in the week and to celebrate J. Guerlain’s birthday on Friday. I’m sure we’ll figure it out
10. 14 – Who’s the fairest of them all? Wear a scent with the most beautiful name.
10. 21 – Feisty Day: A fragrance you shouldn’t wear to work but you wear it anyway.
10. 28 – Will you trick or treat? I bet you will. Halloween Preparations.
November
11. 04 – Gunpowder, Treason & Plot.
11. 11 – Never Say Never – Wear a scent you used to hate but now love.
11. 18 – Scrooge Day. The perfume you have the most back-up bottles of. (Or your biggest, fullest bottle.)
11. 25 – The World Gets Darker: A fragrance with Nuit, Noir, Black or Night in its name.
December
12. 02 – Brace Yourselves, Winter Is Coming. Wear a warming scent. (OR, if you’re A Sweet Summer Child in the South, wear a sunny one!)
12. 09 – Light A Candle. (Actual candles, waxy/smoky scents or warm & cozy scents to enjoy in the candlelight)
12. 16 – Looking Back: Type of scent, note or accord that piqued your interest or was important to you this year. Or maybe there’s a scent to sum up the 2022 for you?
12. 23 – Coming Home For Christmas. (Winter Solstice. The Light is coming back.)
12. 30 – Happy New Year: Your most festive scent.
