Hey all – while generally I don’t follow hard and fast rules when it comes to making perfume, I do have a few weird habits or urges that I do sometimes give in to. Like many in creative fields I can be a little obessive and compulsive and that probably feeds it.
So to answer the question myself before you all respond: I derive huge pleasure from formulas in which no two line items are the same weight. So, for example, a perfume like this will drive me crazy:
