Today is Mr teardrop’s Birthday, & l’m taking him out for dinner this evening at our favourite ltalian restaurant. l gave him his main gift a few days ago: a new Kindle to replace his old one that finally died, after about seven years. He reads a lot, so this is essential kit for him. l wrapped & presented him with some of his favourite sweet treats this morning (Tunnock’s Caramel Wafers, & Tunnock’s Snowballs, for those who need to know). He loves his “traditional” Scottish fayre!
Yesterday marked one month since his stroke, which meant he was allowed to drive again, so l got his car keys out of “storage”. He took a short trip into town, & seemed to manage ok. l think he enjoyed his taste of freedom! He still gets frustrated when people don’t understand him, as his speech can still be a bit muddled, but he has reached out to the Stroke Association for some help with that. l’m so proud of him for doing that, as it’s not easy for him to ask for help.
l’ll be going for a haircut later this morning, & my SOTD isn’t yet decided, but l’ll pick something Mr T doesn’t object to.
